My constituent Neil, from Bromborough, who lives with MS, recently explained some of the everyday obstacles he faces when using his mobility scooter to get around.
These include pavement parking, poorly maintained or obstructed pavements and other barriers that can make what should be straightforward trips much more difficult.
It was really valuable to hear directly from Neil about his experiences and the difference that accessible streets and pavements can make to people’s independence.
An important issue for me both as a constituency MP and a Transport Minister.
