I met Charlotte Hennessy at Parliament. She was just six when her father, Jimmy Hennessy, 29, from Ellesmere Port, was killed in the Hillsborough disaster in 1989.
After decades of campaigning by Charlotte and the Hillsborough families, many of them were in Westminster on the day the Hillsborough Law cleared the House of Commons, bringing it a major step closer to becoming law.
It will place a duty of candour on public authorities to help ensure no bereaved family has to endure the same ordeal in the search for truth. The Hillsborough families have changed the law through their courage and determination. That is their legacy.
