Work to shape £20 million of Government regeneration funding in Ellesmere Port got under way with the first meeting of the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board.

I’m pleased to be serving on the board alongside Westminster ward councillor Lisa Denson, supporting its work to guide investment in our town.

Chair Kevin Bradburne described it as “a significant moment”, saying the programme is an opportunity to bring together residents, businesses, community organisations and public services to make a real difference for Ellesmere Port.

He stressed that the board’s work should be driven by local people, adding: “This is the community’s agenda.”
