It was a pleasure to welcome the school council from Whitby Heath Primary School in Ellesmere Port to Parliament this week.
The pupils enjoyed a tour of the Palace of Westminster, where they learned about Parliament, its history and the importance of democracy.
I also had the chance to answer their questions about some of the issues they care about, as well as my life as an MP. We discussed a range of topics, including access to green spaces and the challenges of travelling between Ellesmere Port and London.
