Great to visit the New Ferry regeneration site where 43 new affordable homes are being built following the devastating 2017 gas explosion, which injured 81 people and destroyed homes and businesses.

It was particularly moving to hear former resident Chris Lee-Power speak about the impact the explosion had on him and his family, and the long road to recovery for the community.

These high-quality affordable homes will help ensure New Ferry continues to rebuild and thrive, with people living in the 34 new homes from the first phase already helping to support local businesses and bring more life back into the town centre.

Good to see Wirral Council, The Regenda Group and Homes England working together to deliver much-needed affordable housing for local people.
