I’m delighted to see Jessica Gallier-Booth named Cheshire Woman of the Year 2026 – a thoroughly deserved recognition of her outstanding contribution to suicide prevention and mental health support.
I’ve been proud to support the incredible work of The Martin Gallier Project and have seen first-hand the difference it is making in communities across Cheshire and beyond.
Following the loss of her father Martin, Jessica established the charity, which has gone on to support thousands of people when they need it most. What began in New Ferry has grown into an organisation that is helping save lives through its innovative, human-centred approach to crisis intervention.
This award is recognition not only of Jessica’s leadership, but also of her determination to ensure that nobody has to face their darkest moments alone. Congratulations, Jessica, and thank you for everything you do.
