I’m delighted to help showcase the work of local artist and Ellesmere Port resident Nicky Thompson, whose Art of Travel exhibition is now on display at the National Waterways Museum until the end of February.
Nicky was commissioned by Channel 5 to create artwork of Ellesmere Port for Britain’s Most Scenic Counties, and it’s fantastic to see it included in this touring exhibition, which celebrates places and organisations from across the UK.
It’s a real celebration of our town and its place as the Gateway to the Industrial Revolution.
