I was proud to see an Ellesmere Port-built electric van showcased at the inaugural Manchester Motor Show.
The Vauxhall Combo-e, made at the all-electric Stellantis plant in my constituency, was on display alongside vehicles from across the group.
I also welcomed the confirmation of a £50 million investment at the site, which will see mid-sized electric vans manufactured at Ellesmere Port by 2027.
During my visit, I met Eurig Druce of Stellantis and spoke with local workers involved in producing these vehicles.
Ellesmere Port has a proud manufacturing heritage and I will always support the factory and my constituents who work there as we transition towards a greener future.
