Really useful visit to the Chronically Supported CIC group at Little Sutton Community Centre, which serves Ellesmere Port and surrounding areas.
Members living with long-term health conditions raised important issues — from whether Ellesmere Port should have its own NHS Walk-In Centre, to the difficulty of multiple NHS trusts communicating effectively and the support people need to get back into work.
One disabled woman even invited me to spend a day with her to better understand her experience using a wheelchair.
From health and wellbeing to financial and employment guidance, this group makes a real difference, ensuring no one has to face long-term health challenges alone.

Everyone deserves dignity, opportunity and support. It’s great to see a community-led organisation delivering exactly that.
