I had a lovely visit to Westminster Community Primary School in Ellesmere Port to meet their School Council.
The young reps (aged 5–10) had brilliant ideas for improving their school and community – from litter picks to cookery competitions – and I promised I’d come back if they go ahead!
It was inspiring to hear why they stood for election and the great questions they asked. I even told them my favourite animal was my labrador… before meeting Winston, the school dog!
A big thank you to Miss Fortune, Mr Haven and all the staff for making me so welcome.
