Eight-year-old Jackson from Ellesmere Port recently wrote to me, worried about broken glass and rubbish in an alleyway near his home between Pooltown Road and Morrisons on Whitby Road.
He and his mum, Leanne Nelson, had already done their best to tidy it up – but asked if I could help.
So, together with local Labour councillors Karen Shore (Central and Grange), Paul Donovan (Sutton Villages) and Bob Bisset (Central and Grange), we grabbed our trusty litter pickers and made a clean sweep!
Big thanks to Jackson for speaking up for his community – proof that you’re never too young to make a difference.
