Proud to support New Ferry-based The Martin Gallier Project (MGP), a charity I’ve seen make a real difference in suicide prevention.
Founded by Jessica Gallier-Booth (pictured with me in Parliament) after her father Martin’s tragic death, MGP now has centres in New Ferry, Chester, Crewe, and Macclesfield.
An independent study shows their unique, non-clinical approach works—and can be replicated nationwide.
Since 2019, MGP has delivered nearly 49,000 interventions, helped almost 10,000 people, and saved the NHS around £1.2m a year. Jessica and the team’s work proves early, human-centred support saves lives.
This is more than a project—it’s a blueprint for suicide prevention across the UK.
