Justin Madders, MP for Ellesmere Port and Neston, has added his voice to the ‘Everybody In’ campaign to end homelessness, an initiative by the national homelessness charity Crisis.

Earlier this year Crisis published a ground-breaking plan to end homelessness, which sets out the exact government policies needed to end all forms of homelessness within a ten-year period.  The charity hopes this will spur Britain’s governments to build on their recent positive steps in recognising homelessness as an urgent issue.

Justin said:

“There are 236,000 people currently experiencing the worst forms of homelessness, the highest level since 2010.

“It’s a disgrace that so many people today are forced to sleep in cars, in tents, on other peoples’ floors and couches, or even out on the streets.  I am proud to add my voice to this important campaign and to call for an end to all forms of homelessness once and for all.

“Ending homelessness across Britain isn’t an unrealistic aspiration, it’s a goal within our reach and I hope local people will join me in supporting the Crisis ‘Everybody In’ campaign which can be found at: www.crisis.org.uk/everybodyin
