I met Ashley Dalton, Minister for Public Health and Prevention, to discuss the launch of the National Cancer Plan.
It’s about:
- Catching cancer earlier, so more people get diagnosed quickly and have the best chance of successful treatment
- Speeding up treatment, cutting waiting times and delays that cause real anxiety for patients
- Improving survival and quality of care, wherever you live
- Supporting people living with cancer, including recovery, wellbeing and life after treatment
I’ll keep pushing to make sure these ambitions translate into real improvements for patients locally.
