Working Hard for Ellesmere Port & Neston

Wrexham-Bidston Train Line

Justin Madders, MP for Ellesmere Port & Neston together with local Cheshire West and Chester Councillors Louise Gittins and Andy Williams are working to improve the rail service on the Wrexham to Bidston line which serves Neston Station.

Neston Town Council have already declared their support for Justin’s campaign for improvements to the train service and have been invited along to the launch of the petition at 3pm on Wednesday 11th November.

Improving the service would bring huge benefits to Neston residents and would also aid connectivity between North Wales and the Wirral, which could have widespread economic benefits.

Copies of the petition will also be available in Neston Town centre in the coming weeks.

  • We the undersigned believe that the current hourly service on the Wrexham to Bidston line is not frequent enough.
  • We want a half hourly service to be included as a requirement of the new franchise.
  • A more frequent service would improve transport links between Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales allowing greater access to the services that these areas offer.  It would also offer clear economic benefits by linking the three key regions more effectively.
