Justin welcomes free ‘keep warm’ advice pack

Justin Madders, MP for Ellesmere Port and Neston, has welcomed the launch of a free advice pack from North West water company United Utilities which aims to help people keep their homes ‘healthy’ this winter.

Justin said:

“‘Fight the freeze: a guide to winter warmth’ gives useful home maintenance and awareness advice, such as how to find a property’s stop tap and how to lag pipes in order to avoid troublesome bursts. The pack also includes broader information regarding winter wellbeing, such as where to get financial support with heating bills, where to look for warming nutritious recipes, and who to turn to with concerns for loved ones or neighbours who might be vulnerable to colder conditions.

“Taking simple steps to prepare properties for cold snaps, and knowing where to look for advice on winter wellbeing, is really important; ‘Fight the freeze: a guide to winter warmth’ is available to download for free from www.unitedutilities.com/winterwise.”
