Justin was delighted to attend a reception hosted by the Motor Neurone Disease Association to mark MND Awareness Month.
MND is a fatal, rapidly progressive disease that affects the brain and spinal cord, attacking the nerves that control movement so muscles refuse to work.
“It was good to see local MND volunteer Debbie Williams again at the reception and also to meet Amy Phillipson, Association Visitor and Cheshire MND Branch Committee Member who explained that the current MND campaign calls for “the right care, in the right place at the right time for people with MND and their carers.
“People affected by MND sadly do not have the time to wait for departments to process dozens of forms before supplying the equipment and specialist care that they need – they have to have it quickly. That is why I am supporting the MND “right care, right place, right time” campaign and urging the Government to ensure funds are available to make this happen.”
