Justin Madders encourages local people to become blood donors

MP Justin Madders has called on eligible people in Ellesmere Port and Neston to register themselves as blood donors as NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) reveals that only 2.63% of local people donate.

Since the launch of the #BleedForEngland campaign earlier this year, NHSBT has had an amazing response to their call for 100,000 new blood donors to help patients in hospitals across the country.

Justin Madders said:

“I believe that together, people in Ellesmere Port and Neston can help this campaign reach its goal of registering 100,000 new donors. Donating blood is an amazing and fulfilling thing to do as you help save and improve lives.

“To donate blood takes very little time and effort and can make an immense difference to the life of someone who is unwell. I hope many of you who have not yet signed up will do so by visiting www.blood.co.uk or calling
0300 123 23 23 today to find out if you are eligible to donate, register as a blood donor and to book your appointment.”
