Justin was very pleased to join the Mayor of Ellesmere Port, Councillor Brian Jones in unveiling a plaque in recognition of the fantastic work put in over many years by local fundraiser Billy Birch.

Mr Birch of Ellesmere Port, has been helping local charities in memory of his beloved wife Sylvia for over 20 years and has brought in almost £105,000 for good causes.

Speaking after the unveiling, Justin said: "Billy Birch is well known across the Town for his tireless campaigning and he's become known as one of the characters who help to make Ellesmere Port the place that it is."

"I was very pleased to be able to secure a much deserved plaque in recognition of all of the work that he has put in over the years.  Typically of Billy, while the plaque was originally intended to give thanks to him, he insisted that it was the kind-hearted businesses and people of the Town who had helped him with his fundraising that be thanked instead."
