Justin elected as new Member of Parliament

Justin Madders has been elected as the new Member of Parliament for Ellesmere Port & Neston with an increased majority.

“As someone who has grown up in the area I know the place well and the challenges we face,” he said. “I will stand up for the people of Ellesmere Port and Neston.

“I know from my work as a councillor how difficult people are finding things and I want to do my bit to create a better future for us all.

“I’ll always do what is best for Ellesmere Port and Neston.”

Majority: 6,275

Labour also celebrated taking control of Cheshire West & Chester Council for the first time, gaining 6 Councillors, to put them on 38, compared to the Conservatives on 36, with 1 Independent.  Of those Councillors representing wards fully within the constituency of Ellesmere Port & Neston, Labour hold 16, The Conservatives 3 and 1 Independent.
