Justin applauds initiative to fight social isolation for over 50’s

The Bright Ideas Competition is open to individuals and community organisations with ideas for projects and activities that could help to reduce the risk of social isolation in over-50s. Successful applicants will win a share of the £250,000 award money to turn their ideas into reality.

Justin said, “This is a great way of making funding accessible to community-minded people and smaller organisations. I encourage applications from across Ellesmere Port and Neston and hope that local people with a bright Idea are able to take it forward to help reduce loneliness and isolation.”

The Bright Ideas competition will be run over four rounds, with each round open for applications for nine weeks. Brightlife is holding a workshop for anyone interested in applying to the competition in Ellesmere Port on 7th July. For more information about these workshops, call 01606 884444 or email commissioning@brightlifecheshire.org.uk.
