Justin Madders, MP for Ellesmere Port and Neston showed his support for the record number of local people with diabetes by attending the Parliamentary launch of a new report by MPs which highlights the need to deal with a postcode lottery in diabetes care.
The report, compiled by the All Party Parliamentary Group for Diabetes, sets out the causes and solutions for the current issues in care for people with diabetes. Healthcare professionals, academics, commissioners and people with diabetes all contributed to the report which can be found at: https://diabetes-appg.co.uk/
“Meeting people with diabetes at this event has been really useful to hear firsthand what it means to live with diabetes and some of the challenges that people face in my area. I want to be a robust voice for people with diabetes in my constituency and look at how we can go about securing better diabetes care for everyone living with the condition.”
